Our journey to Bordeaux

We made it out of London, and into Paris.
We had a drink to celebrate to fact that our long journey was coming to an end. 28 hours of traveling, I'm so tired.



Finally in Bordeaux. But wait, where is our luggage?



Yep we are here, but the king has no clothing. Oh well hell. Have to make the most of it. So we were washing our underwear in the sink at 1am last night.
Couple hours of sleep, a shower, blow drying our socks dry, a coffee, and we are ready to go!

May have to buy clothing tomorrow if our luggage doesn't find us today. I'm sure no one at home has any sympathy for the fact that I may have to go shopping in France. Well, when you put it that way. :)

28 hours of travel

Our vacation is starting with a couple bumps in the road. Our 11 hour journey to Bordeaux is now 28. We now have to go thru London then Paris then Bordeaux.

On a happy note, we had a wonderful dinner at Ecco. If you are in the international terminal in Atlanta it is a must.




Well, we are excited to get on with the journey. I'll keep you posted.

Skateland

Went to a birthday party with Suzie and Liam today at Skateland. It was Liam's first time trying to skate. He kept saying, "I can't skate, it's too hard." Suzie and I kept saying, " how do you know until you try?". Finally he agreed to give it a go. :)

He was able to skate to Suzie and I once each. After that he seemed happy with his progress and was ready to take the skates off. All in all a very good first time. Way to go little buddy!

Finally a warm day 2 of 2

We spent some time at Horseshoe falls.

Finally a warm day 1 of 2

Today was one of the warmest days in the last few weeks, so we decided to hike out at Caesar Creek.

We hiked out to the point. We hunted for fossils. I also took a few minutes to make a few rock stack sculptures.






While we were out there we found our second trilobite. Yep, our second one and it is bigger than the first.

In areas the water level has dropped so quickly that the 5 inch thick sheets of ice have splintered.

In New York State

I'm in NYS this week. Had a chance tonight to see some friends and hear a good jazz band.
This place has great food! A must do if you are in Oneonta.
