Our morning in Kent Ohio

Woke up this morning to negative temps. There went my morning run around Kent. I had to settle for the treadmill in the workout room. :(

After breakfast at the Wild Goats cafe, we started our journey home. But first we had to take a picture of the X wing fighter at one of the local joints.

We took to long way home on route 4 and stopped by the Harding Memorial in Marion Ohio.

An amazing day, and a great weekend.

Beth Hart in Ohio

Today Jer and I drove to Kent Ohio to see Beth Hart in concert.
Kent Stage is a great venue, not a bad seat on the house.

Beth was amazing! She finished the show with "I leave the light on", brought the house down.

Incredible show, makes me miss Paris.

Hiking in the snow

Jer and I hiked in the snow yesterday and today. Great workout for your legs.

Sugarcreek on Saturday.

Caesar Creek today. We saw a fox crossing the frozen lake. It was a good day to be outside.

Valentine's Day

It is cold out there campers!
We started are day with coffee and a hike.

Later, dinner at the Winds.

We spotted Jupiter on the way home.

And we caught a show. Amazing band playing in our own town.

Hope everyone was able to be with the one they love.
Love to all!

Coldest run to date

I have been running at lunch all winter. Snow, rain and freezing temperatures have not stopped me.
Today was my record low temp! Last year I ran at 13 degrees, today 7!

The sun was out and the wind was lite.
It was amazing. I run so much better in colder weather. But after my run today I had the most intense runners high to date. I could have gone back out for a few more miles.

I love running in the snow and cold.
It is going to snow more tonight! Can't wait to run tomorrow.

Get out and do something...no matter how cold it is. :)

Friday the 13th

It may have been Friday the 13th, but that didn't keep us from celebrating Valentine's Day at work.

I made cupcakes.

We decorated boxes and passed out Valentines.

Fun was had by all!

Sunday in Cincy

We slept in this morning. Nice that Kitty was not there to wake us up at 4:30am!

A quick run, shower, and breakfast. Then it was off to check out the city.

A friend told us about Carew tower's observation deck.

Here we are checking out the view.

Here is the building from the river. We were in the tallest building by the flag.

Then we walked across the bridge to Kentucky.

I walk the line :)

We had tickets for the 2pm showing of Ring of Fire, the music of Johnny Cash.
It was great!

Did someone say sushi?
These are tuna dumplings. The wrappers are tuna, the filling was spicy crab. Yum!

Another great weekend in Cincy.
Get out there and make memories.

Cincy Blues festival

Staying at 21c

The Lost Boy or the Wiseman? Every girls dilemma.

I chose the wiseman.

Veggies for dinner :)

The concert was amazing.

The question now, midnight fries?

Maple on Tap

Today is our second annual Maple on tap at the Cincy Nature Center. Temps in the low 50's increases the crowd, and the fun.

Mt. Carmel was there with their Maple brew, yum!

Jer and I taking in the sun.

The best small bit there. A take on chicken and waffles. How is it that pickled onions makes everything taste better?

Next stop...Blues festival.
Happy February

Happy Groundhog Day

I made cupcakes for work today. We may have six more weeks of winter, but there is no reason they can't taste good.

Found this idea on Pinterest.

One day down, five weeks and six days to go. :)
