Family time

Joe was in this week. 

Joe and I spent all day Monday together.

Hocking Hills - last day

We were up late last night so this morning started a little later, 8am.

After coffee on the patio, we made a healthy breakfast of eggs and avocado toast.

We want to make sure towns the weekend as balanced as possible, so yoga and meditation was next on the agenda. 

We had a few more hikes to log before heading home.

Our Cabin

This cabin is all about the windows. A floor to ceiling wall of windows. We stayed at Old Man's Cave Cabins, our was Falls View. 

Here is the deck that overlooks the ravine. We ate here, did yoga here, and had amazing conversations here.

Perfect place for hiking shoes.

I stayed in the loft, this is what I woke up to. We will be staying here again.

Hocking Hills - day two

Patty and I were up early this morning.

We prepared a wonderful breakfast and did yoga on the patio.

Then we went on a guided hike at Whispering Cave. 

After the cave we went to the spa for facial and a massage.

Lunch on our patio and some down time for drawing and journal writing.

Later we did two more hikes.

Rock house - an amazing cave.

And Conkles Hollow - a hollow that made you feel that you were on a Jurassic Park set.

Dinner was at the Winery. Life is rough, but not today.

Sunset on the lake, then back to the cabin. 

This weekend has been great so far. Only one more day 😞

Hocking Hills - day one

Patty and I are taking a weekend to play in the woods.

We started the weekend off by paddle boarding on Lake Logan. 

There is an amazing field of lotus at the far end of the lake. We took a few minutes to just lie on our boards and drift on the current. Amazing relaxing.

After the lake we went to Old Man's cave. A picnic in the parking lot, then a beautiful hike to broken falls.

There we wrote down our intention for the weekend. 

This evening we checked into our amazing cabin, cooked a great meal, and enjoyed each other's company. 

Tomorrow, early hike and a trip to the spa.

August 4 was Jeremy's first time exhibiting his photos. They looked great. So proud of him.

Solar eclipse 8-21-2017

We watched the eclipse at work this week.

It was amazing. Such a cool thing to see. 

Can't wait until 2024.

Dinner with old friends

I was fortunate enough to have dinner with my art friends from WSU last night. 

So happy to see (left to right) Mel, Kate, Zandra, and Zandra's daughter Natalie.

We had the best time catching up. Long girls weekend in 2018? I think so!
