Mammoth Cave and today

Yesterday Jeremy and I spent the day at Mammoth Cave national park. Don't have any pics on my phone so I will post those once I download them at home. It was awesome! If you have not been there, you should. 300+ feet underground, rooms and passages that match the vastness of some of our greatest architecture. The capabilities of nature never ceases to amaze me. Although some of the passages we took on our second tour would kick in anyones claustrophobia. It is worth the trip.
Today, we went to the Speed Art Museum. Then the Water Tower Art Museum. This is the stairwell at the water tower.

Then we headed home. But wait, is that a sign on the highway for a winery? Yep, Smith and Berry. Had to go. :) The wine was great, really giving California a run for their money. This is a pic of their wine garden.

What's that, only 14 miles to Elk Creek winery. Why not, no place else we have to be today. (Kitty disagrees, she is at home wondering where the hell her kitty food is, only 2 days late).
Wine at Elk Creek, also good. Must be something in the Kentucky soil, why are we living in Ohio?
So, what is up with the black barns? I know that they use them for drying tobacco, but everyone in KY can't be growing tobaccy?

Well, our Kentucky vacation is now one of our favs. Great hotel, great food, mammoth caves, wonderful art, beautiful fall color and country views, and good wine. What else do you need?
Happy fall everyone.
