Germantown hike

We went for another 7 mile hike today. It was the perfect fall day. Sunny and brisk.
We did see a woolly worm on our trek, and if legend is true we are in for another mild winter. Not a speck of black on him!

The pumpkin farm was our next stop.

OMG! I love fall. The chill in the air, the way the leaves float to the ground as if they have fallen from heaven and unwilling to touch the ground, and the smell of the morning dew. How could one not love this time of year? All is retreating from the world to slumber through the winter and spring forth anew once the snowy winter blanket melts away.
I'm not sure what it is, it may simply be that change is here and I welcome it like an old friend.

So go outside raise your arms, take a deep breath, and say hello.
